🔍Valuation
The stock market is glowing red hot. We’ll take a look at two valuation indicators, one is a ratio (the Buffett Indicator), the other a valuation of Tesla by Aswath Damodaran (professor at Stern and renowned valuation expert).
📄Article: Buffett Indicator Shows Stock Market is Strongly Overvalued
For those in the stock market for the long haul, this may not be so relevant but speculators beware, The Buffett Indicator (total US stock market / US GDP) stands at 218%, about 2.3 standard deviations above the historical average. Note this ratio also peaked in 2000.

🎥Video: Tesla at a Trillion-Dollar Market Cap: Revisiting its Valuation
In this video, professor Aswath Damadoran thoroughly explains his valuation of Tesla using his “narrative and numbers” approach. What story does the stock price of Tesla tell, and is it believable?

💽Data
John Burn-Murdoch (@jburnmurdoch) does data visualization for the Financial Times (FT) and is a visiting senior fellow at the London School of Economics’ Data Science Institute.
In this tweet, John shows just how different the Omicron variant is. Cases, Patients, Vented, and Deaths are adjusted for time delays (they are synced in prior waves). Notice the difference with the wave last year!
NEW: first thread of 2022 is an Omicron situation update, starting with a detailed look at UK hospitals, before going international.
Let’s start with severity, and the most important chart:
Despite steep rises in cases and patients, the number on ventilators has barely risen. https://t.co/p1mzD7DorK
🤖Automation
More than ever, we spend countless hours working on fancy multi-monitor setups. On Windows, splitting a monitor into two equally sized windows is not always optimal (for example when taking notes next to a browser).
Brought back from the dead (Windows 95 times), Microsoft PowerToys is a utility that does many clever things. Its FancyZones feature in particular allows you to “snap” windows to regions on your monitor that you define yourself. Split your monitor into any number of regions and increase efficiency instantly!
Microsoft PowerToys is a set of utilities for power users to tune and streamline their Windows experience for greater productivity.
As an added bonus you also get a system-wide Color Picker, great for any professional, and PowerToys Run which allows you to find and launch apps quickly (similar to Spotlight on Mac).
